Travel and tourism sites come dime a dozen, even in places as famously empty as the US state of Montana, but one publication is looking to shake things up a bit, and they're already doing it with the next generation of journalists. MontanaWithKids.com offers news, views and reviews of all the hottest – and most unique – tourist attractions in the state, and all from the perspective of the kids who see it as tourists.
Although only a few dozen articles are up on the site, the editor reports that they have already logged enough stories in the queue to keep it updated three-times per week through the first six-months of 2009.
All articles have multiple, original photographs, directions and contact information for the places reviewed, and a variety of insight you just can't get from an adult.
Unlike the estimated 1,400 articles published so far on Perplexing Times, the largely-identical reviews on Montana with Kids offer a section at the bottom where the "Parents Perspective" is offered in plain, non-satirical form, in order to make the articles as informative as they are entertaining.
You can find Montana with Kids online at www.MontanaWithKids.com, and be on the lookout for big things from these pint-sized journalists. And if you'd like to see a sample of how they do their reviews when they write about Puerto Rico, check out the humor and family categories here in Puerto Rico Lifestyle Magazine.
